I really love the game. But one tiny critique I'd have is that the jump mixed with dash is a little hard to control. That tiny little thing would make fights a little less hard. Otherwise it looks feels sounds and reads really cinematically. Great job.
wait, I figured out the problem. X is the shoot button. I think the way the keyboard keys are configued is the problem. I tried several layouts but it acted a little weird. I thought the only way to shoot was dash shoot but it was X, which is kinda hard to control when the main control is wasd. I tried mapping it to the up down left right but it didn't work correctly.
I think that's the issue. Otherwise it now feels good
well yeah, I figured different people have different configurations on the keyboard so I made it remappable, and also there is controller support if you have one :
Nice Game. Sadly I just suck to much to get past the first major fight.
But it controlls very well, have seen other games of this kind with outright atrocious game-play, this is very smooth and mostly feels good as far as controlls go.

what if I add a feature so that when you press the opposite button it cancels the air dash? do you think it will be better
I figured out the issue.
Remapping the controls is the issue on PC. I think the game always defaults to wasd, and other keys like up left right down keys do dash and map.
Firing being X makes controlling the gun and movement with wasd and jumping a little weird.
I guess it's not the dash forward. It took a few tries before I realised this was the issue
